In 2008 we entered the show ring with our Lagotto boy “Totti” for the first time and it turned out to become a very successful year for him. During the Easter show in Leeuwarden, he started off by gaining the res JCAC: a great start for his show career. In Arnhem Totti gained the first JCAC and res. CAC. In Uden he already knew how to finish his Dutch Junior Title and he just got started. At the Dutch Lagotto Specialty he made it all the way up to Best of Breed and could call himself Clubwinner 2008! He also made some special performances abroad, with a win in Dortmund (Bundesjugendsieger ’08).
2008 was also the year Ti Amo (Dorbea Alnilam Star Light) and Mintaka made their first steps in the showworld. Mintaka became BOB puppy at the Dutch Lagotto Specialty, best puppy at the European Dogshow in Budapest, at the Nordic Winner in Herning and even BOB puppy at the Italian Raduno in Bagnara. Her brother Ti Amo also did a great job, with a lot of VP qualifications and even his first JCAC at the all breed international dogshow Wijchen (NL).
But of course we also took our other curly breed, the wetterhouns, on many of our trips. Late Rozebottel’s Rikbertht Rykman gained the res. CAC at the Dutch Specialty, both Rozebottel’s Rikbertht Rykman and Klazien-Jolk v.d. Kraay Heide became European Winner ’08 at the Euro Dogshow in Budapest and finished their show year in style by becoming Danish Champion and Rozebottel’s Rikberht Rykman even went home as Nordic Winner ’08.
